Last night saw the TITANS take out the Men’s B Grade Championship at Ingle Farm Recreation Centre. In a low scoring affair the Titans took an early lead, but the Wolfpack fought back to take the lead half way through the second half. The Titans pressed on and with tough defence regained the lead and went on to win the game by about 10 points. Full credit to the Wolfpack who were the only team to defeat us all year. Big thank you’s go out to all the people who came out to support the Titans and yelled and screamed which no doubt conributed to the way we played.
After the game the party continued at Rohan, Jay & Levi’s house with many drinks drunk, including the win being toasted with Jagerbombs. 8-ball, darts and PS3 were also on the cards and by morning we were all a little worse for wear, but no doubt still excited about the win.

Monday night saw the mighty Titans prevail in the Preliminary Final to advance to the Grand Final next Monday night. The game got off to a slow start but after a time out the Titans picked up their running game and continued on to not look back from there. They went on to win 44-27.
The Grand Final is to be held on the 23rd of June at Ingle Farm Recreation Centre. Game time is unknown at the moment but will be posted as soon as it is known. We will be playing Wolfpack, who beat us in the semi final by only a couple of points, so we will be looking for our revenge. It would be great to see everyone out there to help get the Titans over the line and win the championship! And don’t forget to REMEMBER THE TITANS!

Doorbell rang this morning at pretty much the same time that my alarm went off, (so good timing there), and waiting at the door is the courier with a big box for me. Opened it up, and just as I suspected, my new shoes and the ridiculous amount of socks I ordered (12 pairs in total).

First up, we have some Adidas Promodel 2G7’s in none other than University Red:
Note the colour swatches in the top right of the picture. These are used to change the colour of the stripes on the shoes to pretty much any colour you want. They give you a shit load to choose from. Different colour every game I hear you say?
And next up we have a pair of AND1 Rise Mid in White & Carolina Blue:
So there you have it, my new basketball shoes. Aren’t they awesome? And they feel so comfy.

So I’ve been needing a new pair of basketball shoes lately, but never had the time or couldn’t be bothered to go looking for some. Also, all the ones I see I don’t like or are too expensive. Solution? Go online and order some from overseas! A site I had known about for a while is Eastbay which sells basically any kind of sporting stuff you need. Now, I’ve always been a bit put off by the site dues to the fact of the crazy shipping prices for one item. But when you’re ordering more, they get a lot more decent. So solution? Order 2 pairs of shoes, and why not some socks while I’m at it. All up, 2 pairs of shoes and 12 pairs of socks for less than $200US. Which is what you would pay for a single pair of shoes here. Not bad at all in my books. Thanks to the 20% discount voucher found on the good old Internets!

Recently this year I began playing social basketball with some of the guys from school for a bit of fun and extra fitness. While most games we have been winning pretty comfortably, it is still a lot of fun, and with somewhat of a point to prove for being put in B Grade.
It is just a whole lot of fun and being able to play however I want makes it that much more enjoyable. So head out to a game soon and cheer on the mighty Titans as they continue on their winning ways.
